Escalon Covenant Church is seeking a full time Pastor of Student Ministries to join the pastoral team in creating a dynamic ministry to equip, train and develop followers of Christ to express God’s heart and grow God’s family.

Position Description

Teaching
To create and engagingly present biblically based lessons for junior high & senior high that foster spiritual growth. Opportunities to preach to the congregation.


Building
Oversee and help develop a vibrant, interactive children’s ministry based on the Word of God

Shepherding the Shepherds
Build up lay leadership, foster team unity, and empower leaders to use their spiritual gifts

Leading by Christ’s Example
Develop an atmosphere that expresses God’s heart to our local school campuses and the greater community

Growing God’s Family
Provide a vision addressing transitions between age groups and programs to create continuity for student ministries

Personal Attributes
Have an undivided allegiance to Christ and His mission to reach the lost. Filled with the Holy Spirit, has an established life and Bible study habits being committed to their personal and pastoral spiritual growth. See 1Timothy 3.

Education/Experience:
Seminary education preferred
Bachelor’s degree Required
Have a passion for and some experience with youth ministry
Missions/Volunteer work required


Compensation Package:
42,000 – 51,000 depending on experience and education (plus benefits)
