New Covenant Christian Church is currently looking for a Worship Pastor. You will work closely with the Lead Pastor. The ideal candidate would be faithful, responsible, and completely trustworthy. (Daniel 6:4)
New Covenant Christian Church is a non-denominational church in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Our mission is to be a diverse community transformed by the love of Jesus. We are community minded and believe that church isn’t over when the service ends.
Worship Responsibilities:
- Work with the Lead pastor in establishing vision for the Worship Team
- Lead worship for our weekend services, Celebrate Recovery meetings, and youth ministry events
- Conduct weekly music rehearsals
- Audition and Recruit new members for the worship teams
- Learn new songs and teach these songs to the worship teams
- Help provide musical and spiritual development for worship team members
- Work with pastors and other team members in creative development for worship services and special focuses or events
- Coordinate the weekend services by planning the order of service
- Be familiar with the operation of the sanctuary A/V equipment or have a general working knowledge and a desire to learn. We use Midas 32 Sound board, Blackmagic switcher, hyperdeck, Resi Encoder, Panasonic PTZ cameras, DMX light board, MAC computers, ProPresenter
7, Ableton, and LightKey
- Recruit, train and develop volunteer personnel to operate sound, screens, lights, and cameras
- Develop stage designs/setup
- Develop and oversee the budget for the worship ministry under the supervision of the advisory board
Experience and Education:
- Worship leading experience (paid or volunteer) is a must.
- No formal education is necessary to apply, but some sort of training would be preferable
One Year Expected Outcomes
- Get to know the Worship and Production Team through one-to-one meetings, group activities, etc.
- Join a Community Group
- Establish and share the vision for worship at New Covenant
2-5 Year Expected Outcomes
- Implement the vision
- Learn the tech so that you can train others
- Write original songs and record them with the team
