SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

The Admin Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the church. Responsibilities include greeting visitors during the week, managing and directing phone calls and emails to the appropriate staff members or volunteers, coordinating meetings and events, rooms reservations, and maintaining comprehensive church records. Additionally, the Admin Assistant is responsible for overseeing the church website, social media platforms, and digital signage, as well as editing the weekly email communications and bulletin. The role also involves managing church membership, ordering office supplies, postage, and paper for ministries and staff.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

*  Possesses a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

*  Knowledge of Canva or similar graphic design program

*  Manage web and social media content with confidentiality and discretion. This includes Facebook and Instagram

*  Knowledgeable about office machines and equipment

*  Proficient typing skills are required.

*  Experience answering the phone.

*  Experience working with the public.

*  Proficient writing skills

*  A love of God (Must be a Christian)

*  A willingness to become and remain knowledgeable about church activities and events including outside groups.

*  Collaboration with staff and volunteers is essential.

*  Must have a sense of ministry and have a willingness to perform duties with a sense of ministry and not just as an       employee.

*  Must possess a valid Driver’s License

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 – 3:30 (30-minute lunch)

Education: High School Diploma and some college preferred.

Experience: -Microsoft Office: Two years (Required). Customer Service: Two years (Preferred)
