YOUTH & FAMILY PASTOR
Overview:
Living Hope Community Church in Janesville, Wisconsin, is seeking a Youth & Family Pastor. The Youth &
Family Pastor will be a reflection of Jesus to children ages 0-18 and their families. He will maintain oversight of
the children’s and youth ministries and assist families to model Christ to the world.

• A passion to see children and youth come to know Jesus and grow in Him.
• A conviction that God’s truth (as revealed in the Bible), more than anything, is what children, youth and
families need to hear and believe.
• A desire to lead a team by word and example.
• A heart for relational ministry.
• A teachable spirit, a humble posture, and a prayerful lifestyle.
• Teaching, discipleship, leadership, and communication skills preferred.

Role and Responsibilities:
The role of the Youth & Family Pastor is to…
• Ensure the vision of the children's and youth ministry remains aligned with the vision of Living Hope
Community Church and instill enthusiasm for the vision in the volunteers and students.
• Recruit, develop, and lead children and youth ministry volunteers.
• Implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of all children and
youth, including training of volunteers and the utilization of existing check-in stations/ procedures.
• Ensure that the children's and youth ministry is healthy by overseeing the discipleship of children and
middle and high school students through events, mid-week services, and relational ministry with students,
leaders, and parents.
• Cultivate a thriving children's ministry that offers a creative, engaging, and well-staffed Nursery on
Sunday mornings for Equipping Hour (Sunday School) and the Service.
• Provide discipleship resources that will serve the families of Living Hope Community Church by coming
alongside them to help spiritually form the children into faithful and knowledgeable disciples of Jesus
Christ.
• Support the Elders in their vision for the church, ministry, and community.
• Have oversight of all youth and family ministries and is accountable to the Senior Pastor.
• Be in agreement with the Constitution and Bylaws of Living Hope Community Church.
