Children’s Ministry Director

Rehoboth is passionate about children and their families, and we are seeking a Children’s Ministry Director (infants through 5th grade). We are looking for an enthusiastic leader that is devoted to leading children to follow Jesus, discipling them to mature and multiply. This is a role with an anticipated time commitment of approximately 30 hours per week.

We are located just outside the Atlanta perimeter in the city of Tucker. Tucker is an amazing community with a growing population. We have deep relationships in local schools.

We are devoted to the Word of God, and our pastors preach expository messages, generally through books of the Bible. We affirm God is sovereign in all things, including salvation, and all people are called upon to repent and believe.

Our church family, including our Rehoboth Kids, is diverse with many members born in North America along with members from other countries.

Rehoboth is a vibrant church family devoted to inviting others to follow Jesus with us, discipling them to mature and multiply. We eagerly desire to see the next generation become Jesus followers that mature and multiply.

Rehoboth Pastors lead our church family, and the Children’s Ministry Director will work under the leadership of the Pastoral Team. The pastors minister together to lead, disciple, and serve the Rehoboth Family. We are family, and we are a team that seeks to help one other thrive in life and ministry.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A follower of Jesus with evidence of maturing and multiplying faith

• Have a minimum of 2 years of children ministry experience
• Must become a covenant member of the Rehoboth Church Family along with your household family

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Below is a brief description of children’s ministry responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct Rehoboth Kids ministry and coordinate team of volunteers.
• Responsible for the organization and execution of Sunday morning activities for children aged infant through 5th grade. This includes our Bible Fellowship time of learning and teaching as well as child care for younger children during the Sunday morning service.
• Responsible for the organization and execution of children’s activities, learning, and childcare during mid-week events (typically in the evening). Most weeks will be one or fewer such events except for when special events take place. 
• In conjunction with the Senior Pastor, select and utilize sound curriculum for children’s groups
• Coordinate and oversee the execution of a spring Easter related children’s and family event for church members and families in the community. Typically has been our Easter Eggstravaganza event.
• Coordinate and oversee the execution of a fall children’s and family event for church members and families in the community. Typically has been our Trunk-or-Treat event.
• Coordinate and oversee the execution of our summer VBS.
• Responsible for the recruitment of new volunteers for regular service
• Lead, train, and equip the Rehoboth Kids Ministry volunteers and staff
• Develop activities and an environment where kids and families are inspired to invite others to participate in this kids ministry
• Other ministry duties as needed
