- Summary of Position
- This will be a part-time position (minimum of 20 hours per week) that will provide spiritual leadership and ministries to Beulah Methodist Church (BMC) and support the overall vision, mission, culture, operations, and staff of BMC.
- This position will be responsible for preaching, teaching, and offering pastoral care to church members, as well as supporting various church activities and ministries.
- Essential Functions
- Leading Worship Services: Lead and coordinate worship services, including organizing liturgical elements based on John Wesley's theology and/or the original Wesleyan Doctrines. Conducts regular worship services, including delivering sermons, leading prayers, and performing sacraments like communion.
- Pastoral Care: Provides spiritual support and emotional counseling to congregation members, visiting the sick, and offering guidance during personal crises.
- Teaching: Leading Bible studies and other educational programs to help deepen the congregation's understanding of their faith. Works with the After School Director in building the children’s Christian beliefs.
- Special Ceremonies\Events: Officiating at weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other significant life events. Being present during the Church’s special events in welcoming those attending with a warm welcome and grace as party of the community outreach.
- Other: Provide support to the administrative and business operations of BMC, including coordination with worship team and committees; engage with local community through outreach programs, charity work and interfaith activities; recruit and manage volunteers for various church activities and events.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Biblical Studies, Ministry, Theology, Divinity or equivalent
- Ordained minister
- Subscribes to Wesleyan Theology
