POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Music Director supports the quality and musical direction of worship services by supporting the Music Director, providing hands-on leadership in key areas, and fostering the growth and development of musicians at Sun Valley Community Church (SVCC).
In all actions, this role
reflects the SVCC team leadership distinctives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Recruit, train, and retain musicians focusing on skill-building, team culture, and spiritualgrowth.
2. Collaborate with the Central Music Team and Worship Directors at individual campuses to foster creativity and innovation in worship experiences.
3. Lead band rehearsals, focusing on preparation, musical direction, and execution centrally and at assigned campuses, as needed.
4. Facilitate coaching and mentorship of musicians at campuses to ensure alignment with SVCC’s musical style and standards.
5. Develop original arrangements and adaptations of new and existing music for unique elements as needed.
6. Assist and create music resources as needed.
