Conover Evangelical Free Church (Conover, WI) Pastor

THE BIG PICTURE

Conover Evangelical Free Church in Conover, WI, (https://www.conoverefc.com), is seeking a full-time Pastor. Currently, CEFC boasts 38 members, with weekly contemporary worship services held every Sunday at 9:30 am. The average attendance is 70 individuals. During the summer months, attendance typically rises due to vacation homeowners in the Northwoods region. Member and attendee discipleship is fostered through weekly Bible Study Groups and one-on-one mentoring sessions. The church provides a nursery service on Sunday mornings and a structured children’s Sunday School program catering to preschoolers, Kindergarten through Second Grade, and Third through Fifth Grade. The Sunday School curriculum is firmly rooted in Biblical teachings. CEFC operates under an Elder-led governance structure, with a current Board of Elders comprised of three members.

The Candidate

The Pastor shall be recognized as the Spiritual leader of the local church and shall discharge all the functions of the ministry. He shall have full membership rights to serve on any committee and have direct supervision over the Pastoral Staff and Administrative staff. He will provide an annual report to be presented at the Annual Business Meeting. The Pastor shall be a member of the Board of Elders. He or his designated Pastoral Staff member shall be an ex-officio member of all committees. He will have direct input into the hiring/addition or removal/dismissal of any pastoral staff or pastoral staff position, as well as any administrative staff or administrative staff positions.

 

The Qualifications

  • He is irreproachable in Christian character, having a good report (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:1-9).
  • He lives under the control of the Holy Spirit in obedience to the principles and precepts of God’s Word.
  • He is in full agreement with the Statement of Faith of the Evangelical Free Church of America as well as the CEFC Mission, Vision and Values.
  • He is committed to the teaching of I Timothy 2:12-14.
  • He preferably has earned an undergraduate degree from an accredited college, university or Bible college or has equivalent experience.
  • He preferably is pursuing or has completed the requirements to earn a Master of Theology or Master of Divinity degree.
  • He preferably comes to CEFC with five (5) years of pastoral experience.
  • He considers the time spent with CEFC members and regular attenders to be at the heart of the pastor's role as the shepherd of the local flock.
  • He approaches the role of pastor as a Servant Leader.
  • He personally supports the value and effectiveness of Biblical Counseling.
  • He is an expository preacher.

 

The Compensation

Toal Package: $70,000 plus Parsonage
