The ideal Senior Pastor at Central Christian Church (CCC) will provide Bible-based teaching, support the ministries of CCC, and perform other job functions common to the position.The role of the Pastor is to assist the Elders in overseeing the life and direction of the church. He will have a firm grasp on the purpose, values and strategy of the church and the ability to align staff and key leadership teams with its mission.The Pastor will offer pastoral care to the congregation alongside church leaders. He will ensure that the systems, practices, and policies of the church responsibly and effectively support its ministry activities. The Pastor will deliver a bible-based message at Sunday worship services and at special events as needed. Administer to the needs of the congregation. The Pastor will join Elders in discerning vision for CCC, defining goals, coordinating execution of CCC's purpose, and ensuring staffing, facilities, and programs are effectively aligned to meet goals. Must believe in Baptism, as a part of the Christian walk with God. Charleston is the home of EIU, with CCC supports the Christian Campus House. Charleston offers a good educational system for a family. CCC would like the Pastor to be involved with the community as much as possible. Ideally you have a degree but experience counts or are you just starting the journey of Pastoring? Perhaps you are a Youth Minister seeking to move up to a Preaching/Minister's position.
