Family and Community Life Pastor
Position Description
The Family and Community Life Pastor is responsible for leading and directing Family Ministry and Community Life at Crossroads. This role provides education and spiritual guidance to families while fostering opportunities for Crossroaders to develop meaningful
relationships. We seek a creative, forward-thinking leader who will humbly help guide us in God’s direction.
Primary Responsibilities
Family Ministry
- Build and develop strong ministry teams.
- Think outside of the box to develop programs and events that kids and students want to bring their friends to.
- Partner with parents by providing resources and opportunities to help them disciple their children.
- Create age appropriate and engaging biblical teaching.
- Create events to reach new kids, students, and families.
- Create events to help kids, students, and families to grow deeper spiritually.
- Supervise and work closely with other Family Ministry staff.
Community Life
- Build and develop strong ministry teams.
- Develop opportunities outside of Sunday morning for people to develop meaningful relationships.
- Create opportunities for Crossroaders to continue their biblical education at church and at home.
Additional Responsibilities
- Speaking to the adult congregation a few times per year.
- Assisting Senior Pastor with pastoral care as needed.
- Serve as needed with weddings, funerals, and pastoral counseling.
- Assisting with oversight of church facilities and related needs.
Qualification/Minimum Requirements
- Love Jesus and love connecting people to Jesus.
- Have a heart for reaching those far from God.
- Leader who leads with humility.
- Team player and team builder.
- Commitment to growth.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to cast vision and implement strategy.
- Committed to being a lifelong learner.
- 2-3 years of church leadership experience.
