Youth Pastor

Hebron Christian Church is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Youth Pastor to lead, mentor, and spiritually guide our youth group. The Youth Pastor will play a pivotal role in nurturing the spiritual growth and development of our youth, fostering a welcoming environment, and building strong relationships with both youth and their families throughout our church and the community. At Hebron Christian Church, we focus on discipling students, equipping and empowering them to do the same with others. Discipleship is a cyclical process and we strive to be pouring out and expecting our students to do the same.

Responsibilities

•    Plan, lead, and coordinate weekly youth group meetings and Bible studies that are engaging, biblically grounded, and age-appropriate. 

•    Inspire and encourage students to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and deepen their faith. 

•    Be available for one-on-one conversations, offering spiritual counseling and support to both students and parents. 

•    Plan events and activities, including summer camps, service projects, mission trips and special events that promote fellowship, discipleship, and outreach.

•    Be available before/after Sunday and Wednesday church to say hello to students and interact with parents

•    Collaborate with church leadership to align youth programs with overall vision and mission of the church. 

•    Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents, church staff, and congregation about youth activities and needs.

•    Develop and manage the youth ministry budget 

Current Student Ministry Schedule 

•        Sunday Mornings

•        Sunday school, led by volunteers, followed by church service in sanctuary

•        Preach occasionally as needed

•        Monday Evenings

•        An in-depth Bible study night. High school currently meet at Youth Pastor house; middle school meets at the church. Students have dinner, then Bible study where we walk through the Bible intently. After the study, we play games and hangout. 

•        Wednesday Evenings

•        Wednesday nights look like a contemporary church service geared toward students. We play games, run Bible Drill, occasionally we have worship, we have a lesson and then play games in the gym. 

Camps and Retreats

•        Students have attended Passion Camp in Daytona for the past 4 years.

•        Students attend camps at North Ga Christian Camp. They offer weekend retreats in the fall for middle and high school students. They also have many summer camps. 

•        College students attend Passion in January every year.

•        Church staff is open to new camps and opportunities. Students have attended TCTC in Gatlinburg and Snowbird in NC. We have also been a part of the Mix in Athens, and an Event with Beech Haven. 

Expenses and Compensation

•        Expenses incurred while engaged in any activity with students or planning for ministry are covered.

•        Salary commensurate with experience

•        Medical insurance premiums covered

•        Housing not included
