Bible Church of Columbus is in the town of Columbus, IN, a city of 48,000 with multiple ethnic groups and cultural backgrounds. BCC is a very friendly, Bible teaching church that has been in existence since 2007.

Our desire is to reach younger families who share our commitment to the Lord Jesus, so we are searching for a seasoned yet younger pastor with family, to help reach younger generations for the Lord and for His church for many years to come.

General Job Description

Bible Church of Columbus is seeking a full-time Associate Senior Pastor who will succeed our current Pastor and continue providing expositional Bible teaching, pastoral care, and leadership to accomplish our mission.

Under the leadership of God, and our current Senior Pastor, this new Pastor will oversee the Family & Youth ministries of the church, providing pastoral direction and training for them. Using volunteers, he will seek to implement appropriate ministry programs and activities to fulfill the intent and spirit of the BCC Mission. Our desire is to have this Pastor move into the Senior/Lead Pastor role within a 2-3 year period.

The Associate Senior Pastor is one who is gifted and called to church ministry, who loves people, and has a passion for discipleship, outreach, and missions on both the personal and ministry level. He must have a passion for God’s Word and a desire to teach it with conviction and confidence.

Personal Qualifications:

He must continually develop the traits described in I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.

He must exhibit integrity, a servant’s heart, spiritual disciplines, and a Godly lifestyle.

He must exhibit attitudes and behaviors needed for building relationships, developing volunteers, enhancing teamwork, and resolving conflict.

He must exhibit sound Bible knowledge and be a good communicator.

He must be productive, reliable, flexible, and aligned with BCC leadership.

He must model the BCC Mission.

He must be a devoted and passionate disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He must have a strong commitment to fulfill the Great Commission.

He must be committed to a long-term pastorate.

Education & Skills

• A degree is preferred from a Seminary, or Bible college.
• 2 years+ of experience on a church staff or ministry with similar responsibilities.
• Technical expertise with computers is desirable but not required.

Pay - Base salary $60,000 - $65,000 annually based on experience and skill set
