OVERVIEW:
Chapelhill Church is a family of churches located in the metro-Atlanta area. Our Chapelhill Atlanta | East Point location serves 800-1000 people each week. This roles will assist the Lead Pastor and staff in leading our Chapelhill Atlanta location, into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. The Next Steps Pastor will own the pathway that enables people (from first-time visitors to leaders) to take their next step as well as assisting ministry with the Lead Pastor.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Lead the Next Steps Team (Small Groups, Growth Track, Baptism) by continually giving vision, direction, leadership development, and working towards annual growth goals
- Evaluate and assure the ongoing effectiveness of current processes and procedures that are used to connect people to the church
- Lead strategies for consistently building, safeguarding, and re-enforcing the culture of Chapelhill
- Assist Lead Pastor with planning the First Wednesday Prayer Gathering and Sunday Services
- Lead, develop, and empower Dream Team Members (volunteers)
- Participate in general pastoral duties as needed (i.e. weddings, funerals, pastoral care)
- Manage Benevolence requests in cooperation with Location Coordinator
- Provide oversight to Facilities Manager
- Oversee the Pastoral Care ministry as well as recruit and train the Pastoral Care team

- Committed to a Bible-centered worldview
- Experience in building and leading volunteer teams
- Strong communication skills
- Must be a team-oriented person and have a servant leader spirit
- The ability to learn new systems and technologies
- Must be able to handle confidential information
- Approved ministry credentials or willingness to obtain credentials in the first two years of employment
