Student Worship Minister

Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Student Ministry Project Manager, the
Student Worship Minister will be responsible for leading students in worship during weekly programming, retreats, trips, and camps. This role will help bridge the gap between St. Andrew’s (SA) Children's Ministry and Student Ministry by providing a
meaningful worship experience ensuring that students have multiple opportunities to engage in worship and discipleship.
Essential Functions
- Plan and execute Sunday student programming for 11:00 a.m. services, providing worship, teaching and small group leadership.
- Cultivate and mentor student worship leaders
- Recruit, equip, and mentor student and adult volunteers for worship and small groups.
- Assist with finding, equipping, and encouraging students and adults to help lead worship and 11:00
m. small groups. - Provide consistent communication to volunteers and students.
- Lead weekly worship practice, particularly for student-led worship.
- Actively participate in Home Days, Lunch Bunch, and all student ministry programming.
- Collaborate with the Production Services team to ensure proper equipment use and maintenance.
- Attend student events, games, and performances to show support for our students and create a St.
Andrew presence in the community. - Attend weekly Student Ministry staff meetings plus other meetings, staff events, and trainings as
- Be available for students seeing guidance and discipleship.
- Track and document student engagement and contact work.
- Plan and execute the worship element of all Student Ministry events, including recruiting and managing
- Attend Student Ministry trips & events.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position supervises student and adult volunteers.
Physical Demands
This position can be a somewhat physical job, especially when on trips and retreats. Duties can include moving supplies, decorating, and setting up student areas, shopping, etc.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a ministerial exempt full-time position at 36.5 hours per week. Weekly expectations include consistent presence in staff meetings and on campus, Sunday through Thursday. PTO on Sundays are limited to the number of weeks of vacation.
Travel
Travel is expected on all Student Ministry trips
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma
- Three or more years’ experience working with students, in either a work or volunteer capacity
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Seminary degree
- Student Ministry experience
- Three years of experience leading worship in a Christian setting
