The Audio Director serves as the chief audio expert and primary architect for all audio operations at Calvary Baptist Church. They work to amplify the mission of the church through excellent creative content and operation. The Audio Director works with the worship arts team and builds volunteer teams.
Essential Functions:
- Work closely with worship pastor and team for goals and vision
- Weekly pre-production planning such as stage plots, I/O Lists, monitor labels
- Maintain and organize the in-ear monitor library, cleaning and maintenance
- Stage setup and tear down of audio and band gear
- Supervise and prep audio team for all worship rehearsals and services
- Lead audio engineer for our central broadcast campus
- Assist musicians and vocalists with in-ear mix
- Forecast and implement audio equipment upgrades
- Conduct A/V training sessions for outside groups using the facility
- Weekend setup and finalization
- Supervise audio for weekend services
- Recruit and manage audio volunteers
- Oversee department budget
- Work with worship pastor and creative team on recording original music
- Provide support as needed for other campuses
- Maintain a strong presence at central campus
