Who we are:
New Beginnings Fellowship (NBF) is a growing church that was founded in Hollister MO in 2005. We are affiliated with the Missouri Baptist Association and the Southern Baptist Convention.
Our Purpose is to grow God’s kingdom by sharing the gospel locally and around the world. We are passionate about loving God, loving others and making disciples. We are currently seeking a Full-time lead pastor for our congregation of approximately 200 people.
Senior Pastor Job Summary:
An evangelical pastor who is a faithful and Godly man of high character with strong leadership skills. The senior pastor must fulfill the Biblical qualifications and roles of a Shepherd/Pastor/Overseer as defined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter
5:1-4. While formal education and previous pastoral experience are preferred, NBF is prayerfully seeking someone who can teach, disciple, and shepherd our members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spiritual Leadership:Provide spiritual guidance, ensuring the congregation remains grounded in the teachings of Jesus Christ. ( 1 Peter 5:1-4)
- Preaching and Teaching:Deliver inspiring and impactful sermons that teach the Word God effectively. (2 Timothy 4:2)
- Pastoral Care:Minister to the needs of others by providing emotional, physical, and spiritual support to people in need. Examples: Offer pre-marital pastoral counseling, provide referrals for individual needs and counseling, and support
widows and orphans, alongside the elders. (James 1:27)
- Availability: Schedule and keep regular office hours as agreed on by staff/elders.
- Ministry Oversight:Oversee various church ministries including: teaching, worship team, youth, children’s’, adult education, outreach, and missions as needed.
- Staff Leadership:Lead and mentor the church staff, providing direction and support.
- Community Engagement: Represent the church in the community, building relationships and fostering partnerships.
- Administrative Duties:Manage the administrative aspects of the church, including budgeting, planning, and strategic development as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:

- Be a student of the Word. Study the Bible for sermon preparation.
- Prioritize discipleship, children’s’ programs, and outreach there by fostering a love of servant-leadership in our volunteers.
- Assist with oversight of discipleship classes and life groups.
- Assist with oversight of community outreach and missions.
- Work with the staff to schedule special services and events.
- Be available to provide emergency pastoral care.
- Attend/moderate business meetings as needed.
- Officiate weddings, funerals, and other pastoral rites as needed.
- Speak at various functions as requested.
- Read books and attend seminars for personal and professional development as needed.
