KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Seniors Ministry
- Lead Thursday morning Bible study and special events.
- Form leadership team to assist in planning special events.
- Visitation
- Coordinate hospital, hospice, shut-in and home visits.
- Lead a care team to assist in the visits.
- Men’s Ministry –
- Oversee Wednesday night men’s group.
- Coordinate participation in No Regrets Men’s Conference.
- Plan occasional special projects or events for men.
- Life Events
- Primary contact for funerals and weddings.
- Perform counseling, as needed.
- Preaching
- Be prepared to preach 6-12 times in the year, including special services.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Passionate, relevant and engaging communication skills both verbally and in writing to inform, persuade and comfort staff, volunteers and congregation members.
- Very strong organizational skills for growing, mobilizing, and maintaining a strong and effective team/program.
- Protecting/holding confidence - The ability to keep information private when working with congregation members to better counsel and comfort church members in times of crisis.
- Strong moral character to give a good example to the congregation.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Have a passion to increase the church’s effectiveness and to help shape the spiritual lives of people through discipleship.
- Wholeheartedly support Faithbridge’s vision, direction and mission.
- Participate in other aspects of church life as an active Faithbridge member.
- Self-motivated, self-disciplined, and teachable.
- Is a team player and committed to unity in the workplace.
- Participate in staff meetings; read and discuss books as directed by the Senior Pastor.
- Assume other responsibilities not aforementioned as deemed appropriate by the Senior Pastor or Faithbridge Leadership Council.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in either pastoral ministry/Biblical studies.
- A Master of Divinity from an accredited theological school or a seminary is preferred.
- Preferred: Experience serving in mid-size church.
- Preferred: Experience leading and serving with others in a multi-staff environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
