Contemporary Worship Leader

Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, located in Granite Bay, CA has an immediate opening for a Contemporary Worship Leader.

 The Contemporary Worship Leader is a part-time position (20 hours per week) tasked with planning, preparing for and leading the weekly contemporary worship service that promotes worship and love of the God. We seek dynamic candidates that have experience leading worship in a church setting or similar environment.

Required Skills and Preferred Qualifications:

• Experienced in planning, preparing, and leading worship services as a musician.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team.
• Has a quality singing voice and engaging stage presence.
• Can proficiently play an instrument in the worship band, preferred.
• Has experience with the use of technology in worship, such as lighting, sound systems, video projection, etc.
• Knowledge of music theory and ability to perform transpositions and reharmonizations.
• Has a heart to lead people in worship.
• Sensitivity and the ability to interact and communicate with a variety of people
• Agrees with, embraces, and teaches the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection statement of faith.
• Committed to living out the mission and values of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.

Other:

• College degree in a related field, preferred.
• Knowledge of Lutheran theology.
• Pass a background check.
• Hourly position; $22 - $26 per hour based upon experience.
