Saint Mark Church is a 60 year old vibrant and growing church with average Sunday attendance of approximately 400 members. There are 2 traditional services and one contemporary service each Sunday.
This position will be responsible for leading the Contemporary Service at Saint Mark Northport. This service is a strong and growing service with structure in place that involves member participation in service planning and engagement. Features 8+ plus member praise band, with full audio visual presentation and on-line streaming of services.
Desired candidate would have 10+ years of ministry experience and preferabily some in the Contemporary service. Candidate should be ordained in one of the major Christian disciplines with a bachelors degree or higher. Desired candidate needs to have proven track record of good planning and execution skills. Desired candidate should be an effective communicator; have the ability to provide creative input into worship and sermon series ideas/concepts, and be a person who is relational and approachable.
Job Duties to include:
Preaching every Sunday during Contemporary Service
Helping to lead the congregation in spiritual growth
Pastorial Care - hospital visitation, home visits, etc.
Aiding other areas of the church ministries - mission projects, children and youth, etc. with other pastorial staff
Helping the Senior Pastor to lead the staff and church administration
Helping to come up with and plan out church events for any area of ministry
Will preach in Traditional Service several times per year as needed
