Position Overview: Leads and serves the Music Ministry department through assisting the Lead Pastor in advancing the vision for corporate worship at Hibernia Baptist Church.
Reports Directly to: Executive Pastor
Reports Indirectly to: Lead Pastor
Prerequisites
- Active and growing relationship with Jesus Christ with a call to the ministry
- Committed to personal evangelism
- Record of consistent, high-level performance
- Excellent attendance habits
- Effective multi-tasking abilities
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Experience with ProPresenter, Planning Center Online, Multitracks, or related tools is preferred
- Ability to meet the requirements for membership at Hibernia Baptist Church
General Responsibilities
- Prepare, produce, and lead musical component for worship services
- Direct weekly rehearsals and provide Biblical discipleship and counsel to all praise team members and musicians
- Identify, recruit and train other worship leaders, musicians, and technicians
- Help develop creative and meaningful worship services by coordinating creative elements with connectivity and continuity between the sermon and music
- In collaboration with the Lead Pastor, ensure each worship service is gospel-saturated, that chosen music is doctrinally sound and is led skillfully in such a way that the congregation has an opportunity to sing in accordance with (Colossians 3:16)
- Provide input on stage designs
- Utilize clicks and loops for all weekly worship services
- Assist technical team in sound checks for all worship services
- Upload/Edit/Create all necessary slides for presentation software (i.e. Pro-Presenter)
- Schedule all band and praise team members for each worship service, including rehearsals
- Participate in all worship ministry and staff meetings and assist with leadership of regular Church-wide events.
- Manage assigned department budget
- Assist leadership in pastoral care and developing ministry relationships with members, regular attenders, and guests
