Creative Arts Director Opportunity at Fellowship Wesleyan Church

Do you have a heart for worship and a passion for creative ministry in a city where the light of the Gospel is needed most? Buffalo, New York—named the 5th least “Bible-Minded City in America” by the American Bible Society—offers a unique mission field for someone who feels called to share the love of Christ in challenging and exciting ways. Fellowship Wesleyan Church is seeking a Creative Arts Director to join our team and help lead our congregation in authentic, Christ-centered worship and creative expression.

Fellowship Wesleyan is a growing church filled with young families, thriving ministries, and a vision for modern, vibrant worship. Over the past few years, we have poured significant resources into modernizing our building, including a state-of-the-art sound system, upgraded stage and house lighting, and a complete redesign of our worship platform. With full teams of talented volunteers already in place to run services, the Creative Arts Director will step into a role that is both well-supported and ripe for growth.  We are looking for someone who wants to put their vision and stamp on our worship experiences.

Each Sunday, our church welcomes around 150 worshippers in person—plus an incredible group of kids and volunteers filling the building. We are looking for a leader with a passion for creating impactful worship experiences that draw people closer to God and help us fulfill our mission in Buffalo. This is more than a job; it’s a calling to bring light to a city hungry for hope.

Beyond ministry, Buffalo is a fantastic place to live and work. Zillow has ranked it as the #1 housing market for two consecutive years, and the city offers affordable living, a wealth of activities, and outstanding schools. From the stunning waterfront at Canalside and concerts at KeyBank Center to world-class architecture, outdoor recreation, and nearby Niagara Falls, there’s always something to enjoy here.  Plus, we are also only 5 miles from the Bills Stadium!

If you’re excited about the opportunity to make a real difference in a growing church and a city that needs the Gospel, we’d love to hear from you. Come join us in Buffalo—where God is moving, and we’re ready to reach the next generation for Christ.

About Fellowship Wesleyan Church

Fellowship Wesleyan Church is a mid-size church on the outskirts of Buffalo who is passionate about our mission statement of "Reaching, Teaching, and Serving in Jesus' Name".  We are currently moving out of tradition of blended worship into contemporary worship and the church has since entered a season of growth where our attendence has increased 50% over the last 6 months.  We are also seeing the return of folks from the coronavirus leading the church in a season of growth that we are trying to catch up with by offering a fulltime worship pastor position for the first time!

Fellowship is at the intersection of two major roads in a deeply post Catholic Neighborhood.  While housing continues to rise all over the United States, it is still VERY affordable here in the Buffalo area.  Buffalo itself is going through a resurgence with the downtown growing by 250% in the last 10 years as more people are discovering our afforable lifestyle, beautiful summers, and kind culture.  It is truly a great place to live!
