Special K Ranch is looking for a ministry-minded couple willing to serve as HOUSE PARENTS. House "Moms" (called Home Advisors) provide meals and support for daily living for 4 adults who have developmental disabilities. House "Dads" (called vocational advisors) work side-by-side with our residents, daily assisting in one of our 6 vocational programs (livestock, flowering plants, tomato world, native seeds, maintenance, and service contracts).
Full housing, utilities, food and health insurance for employee and all dependants are provided, as well as other benefits including a retirement match and up to $500 in moving expenses. Ministry couples will make just under $50K a year while living in picturesque Montana, on the banks of the beautiful Yellowstone River.
Retired couples or couples with children of any age are welcome to apply. Basically, you live on our Ranch and add 4 residents to your family. Developmentally disabled adults must be able to work a job while taking care of their own hygeine needs. Please know we are not a health care facility or baby sitting service. We have 35 residents with down's syndrome, autism, and various intellectual challenges who choose to live here 24/7, potentially for the rest of their working lives.
Special K Ranch is a religious non-profit, who relies on resident fees and private donations. We have been in existence for nearly 40 years.
