POSITION SUMMARY
The Kids Coordinator is responsible for assigned Kids area(s) of ministry during all weekend services, including but not limited to, production and operations of fun, safe, and relational Large and Small Group environments. This position identifies, recruits, develops and leads a team of volunteers to
support the weekend services and other events and activities. In all actions this role reflects the SVCC team leadership distinctives.

This is a fulltime position with weekend service requirements


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1.  Provide leadership for assigned group each weekend at each scheduled service and during special events
2. Serve as contact for Midweek Childcare Workers and Assistants at assigned campus
3. Implement the Kids program and curriculum developed by the Kids Ministries Pastor and Team in a manner that is age appropriate, fun, engaging and inviting
4. Develop a team of volunteers and create a culture of leadership (recruitment, development, training, reproduction) to empower Kids ministry leaders
5. Encourage assigned team of leaders through prayer, spiritual direction and development of a fun, creative and relational team environment
6. Participate in Next Gen team meetings, Kids staff meetings, and other activities and events
7. Coordinate with counterparts at other campuses in executing the vision of Kids through strategic planning, implementation and alignment with Kids vision and direction, ongoing evaluation of Kids environments, and oversight of ministry budget
8. Stay current with Kids culture and ministry trends

 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Self-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervision
  • Ability to drive projects and strategies through to completion
  • Creativity and problem-solving skills
  • Effective team building skills and ability to motivate others
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with both kids and adults
  • Demonstrates spiritual maturity and character consistent with the Biblical requirements for church leadership
  • Minimum one year of experience with theatrical production, or related
  • Minimum one year of leadership experience in church setting working with kids and developing volunteers
  • Supports the mission, vision, and values of SV Kids
  • Agrees and aligns with the mission, vision, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of SVCC
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two years of leadership experience in a church setting of over 2000 members/attendees
