Minister of Youth

POSITION:  Minister of Youth (Youth Pastor)

REPORTS TO:  Senior Pastor

POSITION TYPE:  Full-Time

Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington, OH is seeking a Minister of Youth who possesses the strong interpersonal and leadership skills necessary to motivate and disciple teenage young people.  We seek a candidate who is energetic, has a passion for Jesus, and has the ability to share that passion with our youth.  This person must possess the ability to actively connect with and inspire young people in Grades 6 thru Grade 12, and will be responsible for planning, coordinating and promoting youth programs, special events, and weekly Bible studies at local schools. 

This full-time position will be responsible for leading youth workers and an 80 person youth group for an outreach-focused and mission-minded large Independent Baptist church located in Southern Ohio.  

Experience:

• Leading and connecting with young people.
• Planning special events to share Christ.
• Comfortable in the use of technology.

Qualifications:

• Born again Christian who feels a call by God into ministry and Christian leadership.
• Strong love for youth and families and a desire to serve.
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong ability to lead, inspire and engage youth in Grades 6 thru Grade 12.
• We use the KJV Bible and stand firmly against reformed theology believing that everyone is a candidate for salvation.  1 Timothy 2:4-6
• Strong work ethic with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

The Minister of Youth shall:

• Provide spiritual guidance and leadership to the youth.
• Plan, direct and promote youth programs, fellowships, camp and special events.
• Conduct weekly youth Bible studies at local schools.
• Lead in weekly youth visitation program.
• Counsel youth and parents as assigned by the senior pastor.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and any other meetings required by the senior pastor.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
