Team Leader: Family Ministry Pastor
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Are you ready to lead the next generation of world-changers, pudding enthusiasts and occasional Squishmallow connoisseurs? Do you have what it takes to juggle lesson plans, kids’ events and the occasional rogue toddler with a glue stick? We’re looking for
a passionate, creative, spiritually-grounded individual who loves kids, values teamwork and maybe even enjoys the occasional Nerf war. We would love someone to join us that has 5 or more years of experience in a classroom or in Kids Ministry. This role isn’t
for the faint of heart—but if you’re ready to laugh, lead and live out your faith with an awesome team–we’d love to meet you!
YOUR MISSION (SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT):
- Oversee the mstar Kids Galaxy: Manage every aspect of mstar Kids, from wrangling curriculum to high-fiving volunteers. Bonus points if you have mad scheduling skills (plus you can juggle–schedules or bowling pins).
- Direct the Tiny Humans: Oversee the mstar Kids Jr. Coordinator as they lead the mstar Kids Jr. team that cares for our littlest attendees (ages 0-K).
- Bring Elementary Schoolers the Good News: Use our curriculum to create weekly service plans for 1st-5th graders, complete with exciting lessons, fun activities and minimal glitter explosions.
- Keep Things Fun but on Mission: Incorporate mstar’s values and beliefs into yearly teachings while adding in some joy, creativity and maybe a dance-off or two.
- Be the Mastermind of Sunday Mornings: Plan, schedule and run Elementary School services that make kids laugh, learn and grow in their faith and LOVE coming to church enough to make their parents come!
- Recruit, Inspire and Empower Volunteers: Assemble a dream team of volunteers and keep them motivated (snacks and appreciation go a long way).
- Host Events They’ll Never Forget: Whether it’s VBS, game nights, or seasonal shenanigans, you’ll create memorable experiences for kids and families.
- Be the Bridge to Parents: Communicate clearly and often with parents through newsletters, emails, texts and the occasional interpretive dance (optional, but recommended).
- Spread the Word: Collaborate on social media posts that showcase the joy and energy of mstar Kids (bonus points for clever hashtags).
- Stay Healthy (Spiritually & Otherwise): Lead by example—take care of your own spiritual health and make it to at least one Sunday service per month.
BONUS MISSIONS:
- Collaborate with the Family Ministry team to plan epic events for the whole squad.
- Be the super hero who connects with Boyertown Area Elementary Schools.
- Partner with PennDel Network events (Kids Camp, Break Away, Kids Ministry Summit, etc.) to expand our impact.
YOU’RE THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IF YOU:
- Love Jesus and kids (in that order).
- Can teach, lead and inspire without breaking a sweat—or at least while maintaining your sense of humor.
- Have leadership superpowers: you can cast vision, plan events and delegate like a pro.
- Know how to laugh at yourself. (Yes, even when covered in finger paint.)
- Are a team player who thrives in a fun and fast-paced environment.
SKILLS THAT MAKE YOU EXTRA AWESOME:
- Familiarity with Planning Center is a plus—but if not, we can teach you!
- A proven ability to turn chaos into creativity.
- An understanding that Goldfish crackers are currency in Kids Ministry.
