Job Summary: The purpose of the HSM Pastor is to lead the HSM ministry at SeaCoast Grace Church. This entails leading the student leadership team, screening volunteers, meeting with and equipping volunteers, writing small group curriculum, overseeing small groups, speaking, planning events, developing graphics, and planning, preparing and executing weekly HSM services.

Examples of Responsibilities
- Study scripture and resources to prepare Small Group lessons and curriculum.
- Create a Small Group Curriculum for Wednesday Night Service.
- Speak/Lead Wednesday Night Service & Sunday Morning HSM Services.
- Ensure the appropriate supplies are available for Staff and Volunteers for Wednesday Night Service.
- Attend weekly meetings of Christian clubs at local High Schools.
- Lead and disciple the student leadership team.
- Monitor progress of the Student Leadership Team.
- Recruit and screen all volunteers through our 4-step onboarding process (application, interview, LifeScan, 3 month probation period).
- Meet with the Student Ministries Pastor once a week for review.
- Track attendance, camp/event registrations.
- Email volunteers the small group curriculum/flowcharts.
- Develop and send parent emails.
- Oversee and monitor the HSM budget.
- Continue individual development (intellectually, emotionally, and relationally) by reading, studying, watching or otherwise continuously learning.
- Set up and tear down all services and events.

- Must be a fully committed follower of Jesus Christ.
- Must agree with the mission and vision statement of SeaCoast Grace Church.
- Must adhere to the moral conduct provided by Seacoast Grace Church.
- Must be able to understand the Gospel and articulate it in a way that agrees with theological orthodoxy and the mission of SeaCoast Grace Church.
- Must be able to deliver sermons and will be the primary speaker in the HSM.
- Must be efficient in using Microsoft Office programs, Google Software, Planning Center, Asana, and current technologies; tablets, apps, internet resources, etc.
- Must be able to lead and delegate.
- Must have good interpersonal skills as the majority of the job includes relationships with others.
- Must be able to lead, disciple others, grow spiritually and numerically through HSM at SeaCoast grace.
- Must have a church related degree (i.e. biblical studies, Christian ministries, Christian ED, etc.)
- Must have at least 4 years of experience in working with students in a large youth ministry.
- Must live a Godly lifestyle.
- Must adhere to the moral conduct of SeaCoast Grace Church as described in the Employee Handbook
- Must be able to lead and delegate as well as communicate effectively with enthusiasm to large groups of children and volunteers.
- Must have or be able to achieve DOJ fingerprint clearance
- Must complete Mandated Reporter Training
- Must be able to lift 30lbs.
- Must maintain First Aid and CPR certification
Work Schedule
This is a 40-hour, full time position with a set schedule of:
SATURDAY I 4:00PM-6:00PM
SUNDAY I 8:00AM-12:00PM
MONDAY I 8:30AM-5:00PM
TUESDAY I 8:30AM-5:00PM
WEDNESDAY I 1:00PM-9:30PM
THURSDAY I 8:30AM-5:00PM
Hours may increase during times with special events, holidays, and transitions.
