As a multisite church with 4 campuses at present, Compel Church is always planning ahead for growth. With growth we are looking to add to our pastoral staff.  This job description is for a full-time campus pastor, but we are seeking assistant campus pastors as well. Direct Report: Lead Pastor/Multi-Site Director

Status: Salaried, Full-Time

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Campus Pastor provides strategic oversight, fosters a thriving campus culture, and offers spiritual leadership and care for their respective campus. They work to create an environment that is conducive for growth, connection, and service in the body of Christ. Their goal is to see every person Embrace Truth, Experience Freedom, Live Intentionally and Make a Difference for the Kingdom of God.

REQUIREMENTS 

• Bible college degree or educational equivalent
• Alignment with the vision, values, and ministry strategy of Compel Church
• Passionately cares about people and has a heart for people far from God
• Commitment to personal holiness and character development
• Experience in organizational leadership
• Excellent team building skills 
• Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills
• Preaching experience is not mandatory but is a plus
• Great people skills and relational IQ
• Effective at task and time management and follow up
• Demonstrates initiative, forward thinking and ability to identify and solve problems
• Maintain composure during stressful situations
• Strong work ethic

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Weekend Experience: Oversee the planning, execution, and quality of weekend worship experiences to create distraction-free, meaningful and impactful gatherings
• Pastoral Care: Provide care and support to individuals and families within the church community through counseling, benevolence, weddings, funerals, etc.
• Leadership Development: Work to develop leadership at every level of the campus including campus staff, deacons, and high-level volunteer leaders
• Team Building: Assist in the ongoing recruitment and development of campus Dream Team members
• Community Engagement: Plan and implement initiatives that engage the broader community, building relationships and promoting Compel’s mission
• Next Steps: Help attenders grow in their relationship with Jesus by connecting them to their next step: Discover, Fresh Start, Connect Groups, School of Ministry, etc.
• Administration: Responsibly steward campus budget and expenses as well as accurate reporting for financial and campus health data metrics
• Facilities: Manage the maintenance and upkeep of buildings and property to ensure a welcoming and functional environment
