Creative Director

Encounter Church is seeking an innovative and passionate Creative Director to lead our creative vision and communications efforts. This position is instrumental in shaping how we engage our congregation and community through dynamic storytelling, branding, and design. The Creative Director will oversee and collaborate with the executive team on all creative initiatives, including visual media, digital platforms, and live experiences, ensuring alignment with the church’s mission to make Jesus known.

Key Responsibilities

• Vision and Leadership

  • Develop and implement a creative vision that enhances the church's mission and values.
  • Lead and inspire a team of volunteers and staff across creative disciplines (graphics, video, photography, social media, etc.).
  • Collaborate with ministry leaders to ensure creative projects support their objectives.

• Content Creation and Design

  • Oversee the creation of all visual content, including sermon series branding, event promotions, and worship media.
  • Direct the production of high-quality videos, graphics, and photography to support church initiatives.
  • Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all platforms.

• Digital and Social Media Strategy

  • Manage the church’s digital presence, including website updates, social media platforms, and online marketing campaigns.
  • Create engaging content for social media channels to reach and inspire a diverse audience.

• Production Oversight

  • Collaborate with the worship and tech teams to enhance the creative elements of Sunday services and special events.
  • Ensure technical excellence in in-person experiences.

• Team Development

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of creatives and volunteers.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and growth within the team.

Qualifications

• A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to the mission of Encounter Church.
• Proven experience in a creative leadership role, preferably in a church or nonprofit setting.
• Proficiency in graphic design, video editing, and content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
• Strong understanding of social media trends, digital marketing, and branding principles.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• A portfolio showcasing previous creative projects is highly desirable.
