The Worship Director will work under the guidance of our Lead Pastor, ensuring alignment with Villas Church’s beliefs, values and mission.

We are looking for someone who is able to empower and lead others, bring a creative/entrepreneurial eye to advance our ministry forward, and shepherd others in a life of discipleship with Jesus Christ.

  • Is energetic and passionate in worship and is comfortable on stage shepherding the worship service and leading the congregation in the worship experience
  • Able to use MultiTracks to fill out the musical experience in worship.
  • Is creative - who can take the Lead Pastor’s “big idea” (given 4-8 weeks in advance) and creatively plan worship services using a variety of experiential elements centered around the big idea.
  • Is a magnetic leader - who can lead the existing team well and draw new team members.

Additional Responsibilities

At this current point in time, we anticipate this position will likely require about 30 hours dedicated to worship responsibilities, so there is opportunity for approximately 10 hours to be dedicated to another area of ministry that aligns with the candidate’s giftings. In conversation with the Lead Pastor, opportunities for leadership could include ministry leadership in areas such as…Adult Discipleship, Youth or Family Ministry, Video Production, Connections, etc. We are excited to explore ways to customize a portion of this role in a way that aligns with the needs of our church and the passions/interests of the candidate.
