Minister to Students
Position Summary:
- Oversees and coordinates the student ministry of Chapel At The Beach.
- Leads a student ministry that prepares and empowers students to embrace the church principles of Belong, Serve, Grow, and Go.
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Time Commitment: Full-time
Education/Experience:
- College graduate - does not necessarily have to be in Student Ministry or Christian Education provided there is work experience in student ministry.

- Committed follower of Christ
- Passion for students to know and love Christ
- Servant leader
- Able to follow through and complete tasks
- Able to motivate and inspire student and adult leaders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to administrate, delegate and prioritize responsibilities,
- Executes appropriate judgment and confidentiality
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, promote, and lead weekly student gatherings to meet the social and spiritual needs of students.
- The youth ministry consists of students in 6th-12 grade.
- Provide sound Biblical teaching/discipleship that addresses the relevant issues of students.
- Develop and implement strategic outreach efforts for students in all various types of education.
- Promote personal outreach in the student ministry (i.e. sharing your faith, living with an outreach mindset, inviting friends to church, etc.).
- Seek out opportunities to have spiritual conversations with both students and parents on salvation, baptism, evangelism and discipleship.
- Provide opportunities for students to be directly involved in missions and ministry, and to develop mission-mindedness and servant-heartedness.
- Encourage students to become involved in serving in the church body.
- Make time available to counsel students, parents, and small group leaders as needs arise.
- Enlist and train adult volunteers to ensure adequate involvement in student activities.
- Communicate well, both verbally and in written form, with students, parents, and staff. Use multiple modes of communication effectively to keep those groups fully informed.
- Prepare and present the student budget. Supervise and coordinate all expenditures of student ministries budget in accordance with policy guidelines.
- Meet regularly with staff and coordinate with the whole team in making plans and working across different ministries.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
