Worship Leader (Part Time)

The Gathering is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and skilled Worship Leader to lead our people in meaningful and engaging worship each Sunday. This role involves leading the worship team, scheduling musicians, and ensuring the smooth operation of audio, video, and slides during Sunday services. 

The Worship Leader will play a key role in fostering an atmosphere of worship, while collaborating closely with the pastor and other staff members.

Worship Leadership

1. Lead worship each Sunday morning with a focus on creating an atmosphere conducive to worship and spiritual growth.
2. Select and prepare worship songs in alignment with the theme or message of the weekly service.
3. Lead the gathering with energy, humility, and a heart for God.

Team Management

1. Schedule musicians, vocalists, and technical volunteers on a weekly basis.
2. Coordinate rehearsals (as needed) and ensure all team members are prepared for Sunday services.
3. Build and maintain a cohesive and positive worship team environment.

Production

1. Oversee and coordinate all audio, video, and slide elements needed for the Sunday service.
2. Ensure the sound system, slides, and video content are prepared and function properly before and during each service.
3. Troubleshoot any technical issues that arise and coordinate with volunteers or outside tech support when needed.

Collaboration and Communication

1. Work closely with the Lead Pastor to ensure the worship service aligns with the sermon and overall vision of the church.
2. Communicate effectively with the worship team, technical crew, and other church staff regarding service preparations and any special needs or events.
3. Be present and available for staff meetings, worship planning sessions, and any other necessary church events or rehearsals.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in leading worship, preferably in a church setting.
2. Strong musical ability with proficiency in singing and playing an instrument (guitar, keyboard, etc.)
3. Familiarity with audio and visual technology, including sound systems, projection software (e.g., ProPresenter), and video equipment.
4. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
5. A heart for worship and a commitment to the mission of the church.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with others and inspire team members.
7. Flexibility and adaptability to the needs of a small church environment.

Hours:

This is a part-time position requiring approximately 20 hours per week, including preparation time, rehearsals, and the Sunday morning service.

Compensation:

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and the specific hours required.
