Revolution Church is actively seeking to fill a position for a full-time, Student Minister.
Purpose: The Student Ministry Coordinator is responsible for designing, coordinating, and overseeing a comprehensive
youth ministry program (6th-12th Grades) focused on building young disciples for Jesus.
Areas of focus include group building, worship, discipleship, mission, outreach, and building a strong team of volunteers.
The Student Minister must also serve as an engaging spiritual leader and role model and possess a strong
biblical perspective.

Have demonstrated abilities as an action-oriented leader, able to cast vision and align leaders including both staff and volunteers
Have demonstrated abilities in identifying, recruiting, equipping and shepherding volunteers and volunteer leaders
Have the ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively, prioritizing according to ministry needs
Have strong ability to use all computer software and programs needed to accomplish goals
Have a minimum of 2 years of pastoral student ministry experience, overseeing all aspects of the ministry

Primary Responsibilities:
-Communicate with church leadership, staff, parents, and congregation in a timely manner utilizing
available resources (email, website, social media, bulletin, etc.) about the student ministry.
-Plan, develop, and implement all aspects of a balanced and engaging student ministry.
• Identify the needs and interests of teens within the church and community.
• Evaluate existing programs to determine effectiveness.
• Provide ministry and mission opportunities for students throughout the year.
-Teach biblically sound sermons and studies that lead and inspire students to deepen their walk with God.
-Research resources and make recommendations for developing the student ministry programming.
-Pursue and participate in continuing education events and training opportunities within student ministrypractices.
-Mentor students and provide counseling and spiritual direction that aligns with church ministry
strategy and plans.
-Maintain a successful progression between children’s ministry, student ministry, and young adult ministry.
-Provide oversight and direct supervision to volunteer student leaders, student ministry leaders, and other
staff and volunteers.
-Recruit and train volunteers to work in and ensure adequate volunteer support in all aspects of student ministry.
-Maintain accurate records of student participation.
-Compile and manage the student ministry budget for reporting purposes.
-Maintain a flexible schedule that allows for approved and scheduled visits with youth in a variety of ways
(i.e. attendance at extracurricular activities, times of crisis, etc.).
-Collaborate with church staff members in a cohesive and open team environment.
-Attend and participate in weekly/monthly staff and leadership meetings. -Perform other ministry tasks as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
-Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Qualifications:
Two to four years of experience in student/youth ministry is preferred. Experience in mentoring, counseling, and student development is also preferred. A seminary degree or formal training is
preferred but not required. Candidates should also have the following job-related experience:
-Exhibit a personal and growing relationship with God
-Developing, organizing, and effectively managing large youth programs of 80-150 students. -Planning events such as summer camp, discipleship weekends, conferences, and
other large events.
-Effectively working with children, teenagers, young adults, and diverse groups
-Experience and training related to:
• organizing volunteer efforts (20+ volunteers)
• public relations
• leadership skills
• exercising discretion with confidential information
• program/meeting planning
-Coordinating activities and compiling and/or disseminating information related to youth programs/events, civic activities, meeting/travel arrangements, etc.
-Technology skills such as general operating, Microsoft Suite applications, Google Drive, Google Calendar, social media, etc.
-Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Possess healthy conflict management skills
-Lead, Love, and disciple your family well.
-If married, your spouse must be supportive and active in the church
-Practice regular time with God in Prayer and study to keep your faith growing.
-Steward your personal finances in a biblical manner, beginning with, but not limited to, the tithe 10%
-Maintain balance by observing time off, vacation, and pacing that indicate reliance on God rather than mere human effort that leads to burnout.
-Be accountable to others who help you in your personal life and to lead well.
-Be honest and transparent in all relationships and communication.
-Be submissive to and supportive of the Lead Pastor and his vision for the church.
-Be a team player by coordinating with and participating in the life of the church through other ministries, events, activities, etc.
-Highly effective leader with high energy and an engaging personality.
-Be a team builder and equipper and a high-capacity visionary leader.
-Have the heart of a disciple maker and leader developer (Ephesians 4:11-12)
-Be flexible and highly adaptable.
-Be passionate about and exhibit and be able to express a clear calling for student ministry (7th -12th Grade)
-Qualified candidates will possess at least a basic understanding of and vision for a children’s ministry and be willing to work closely with, support, and fill in for the children's minister when needed.
