Position: Creative Director

Location: The Torch, Demorest, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

The Creative Director will oversee all media-related activities at The Torch, ensuring high-quality production, consistent branding, and engaging content that supports the mission of the church - to see Souls Saved, Hurts Healed, and Disciples Developed. This role manages video production, graphic design, social media, live-streaming, and all other digital content while collaborating with various ministry teams to creatively communicate the church's vision and message.

 

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Management

  • Plan, create, and edit engaging content, including videos, graphics, and photography, for services, social media, website, announcements, and outreach initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive visual brand for The Torch across all media platforms.
  • Manage church website content to ensure information is accurate, up-to-date, and engaging.
  • Design promotional materials for events, sermon series, and ministries.

Video Production, Lighting, & Live Streaming

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of production for Sunday experiences as well as special events.
  • Coordinate live streaming for weekly services, ensuring high-quality audio and video output.
  • Manage and maintain all video, lighting, and media equipment.
  • Train and schedule volunteers or team members to assist with video production and live streaming.

Social Media & Digital Outreach

  • Manage church social media accounts, including creating and scheduling posts, responding to messages, and fostering engagement.
  • Monitor analytics and trends to maximize online reach and effectiveness.
  • Develop strategies to use media for outreach, discipleship, and community engagement.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Recruit, train, and lead volunteers to assist with media and production needs.
  • Collaborate with ministry leaders to develop media content that aligns with their goals.
  • Provide creative direction for church-wide campaigns, events, and sermon series.

Technical & Administrative Duties

  • Oversee the purchase, maintenance, and inventory of all media and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during services and events.
  • Stay up to date with media trends and technologies to enhance the church’s outreach.

 

Qualifications

Spiritual Requirements

  • Must have a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and align with the values and mission of The Torch.
  • Committed to regular church attendance and participation in the life of the church.

Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in video production, lighting, photography, graphic design, and social media management.
  • Expertise in software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.), Final Cut Pro, or similar.
  • Experience with live streaming software (e.g., OBS, ProPresenter, or Resi) and related hardware.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience leading teams or volunteers is preferred.
