In 2015 Pastor Brian Frost became the Lead Pastor. By God’s grace and power have been on full display and the church has experienced significant growth. In a newer worship center Providence averages 2600+ people attending each weekend.  Providence is committed to discipleship through small groups and reaching the nations through local, national, and international missions.

LEADERSHIP & STRUCTURE

Providence is a church committed to biblical leadership and transparent ministry. Our leadership team is dedicated to building a ministry rooted in prayer and biblical guidance. With a focus on clear communication and empowering team members, the church cultivates an environment of trust and mutual respect. There is a high level of trust between the Lead Pastor, staff, and membership. Brian Frost has been on staff at Providence in various roles for 27 years and is dearly loved, respected, and admired.

Tyler Mount joined the Executive Team in 2021 as the Director of Creative Engagement and is now a Pastor. His role is to lead, direct, and coordinate the worship, production, and communications ministries to accomplish the mission and goals of the church. He does this by empowering both staff and volunteers to lead and love well. With a strong emphasis on relationships and mentoring, Tyler is relational, approachable, and just fun!

The team works many weeks in advance to prepare the worship experience for multiple venues and a campus. The team maintains a regular rhythm of meeting for planning, accountability, and creativity. The new Worship Pastor will join this team each week to plan corporate worship, analyze the previous week's experience, and collaboratively work together to lead Providence to draw close to God in worship.

CHALLENGE & OPPORTUNITY

The culture of the worship ministry at Providence is relational and people-focused.  The right person will lead with a great sense of awareness, and a shepherd’s heart, leading the team and congregation into genuine worship.  With a heart for people, the new Worship Pastor will coordinate multiple groups of volunteers, plan worship for multiple venues, develop systems, and dream about the future.  With many university students in the area, the next Worship Pastor will have the opportunity to build a pipeline of young worship leaders, players, and volunteers.  As someone committed to developing and mentoring people, the new Worship Pastor at Providence will not feel the need to always be “lead,” instead the focus will be on coaching and developing others. This Worship Pastor is a leader of leaders. Providence is seeking a leader who is gifted in building teams and communicates in a manner that speaks life into people.  The right leader will be one who leads by influence and not merely position. With a strong emphasis on dreaming and casting a vision, the new Worship Pastor will find Providence a place where resources easily follow the vision and the possibilities are limitless.

The Worship Pastor will report to the Pastor of Creative Engagement.  They will collaboratively work together to help the creative ministries of Providence work as a team to accomplish the mission, goals, and values of the church.  Providence has multiple services in various venues, different days, and a couple locations so awareness of capacity to scale culture is paramount.  Additionally, the Worship Pastor will work closely with the Senior Pastor in an effort to align the music, media, and message each week.  For the right person, this opportunity is one of life-building collaborations that will lead to many new and exciting ministry opportunities.
