Our mission is to love God by becoming authentic and credible followers of Jesus. Because of that we are a Gospel-centered church that promotes unity in essentials, liberty in non-essentials and charity in all things. 

Also we have a fun staff team, a great church family of about 900 in weekly attendance, and are located in an amazing part of the country!

At Grace Church, we believe that investing in the next generation is crucial for the growth and impact of our community. We are currently looking for a Next Generation Director who is passionate about nurturing strong faith in our children, youth, and families, and furthering the culture of discipleship within our church.

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Next Generation Director will be responsible for developing a comprehensive plan to nurture the spiritual well-being of every child, equipping them to use their gifts in ways that honor God in today's culture. They will work closely with the leadership team at Grace Church to ensure that the values and teachings of Jesus are integrated into every stage of a child's life, from infancy to young adulthood, laying a solid foundation for their spiritual journey.

This position will have oversight of staff, interns and volunteers and will need to be a gifted leader. The position requires someone with strategic abilities who can think about systems, processes and programming that will help kids, students and young adults stay rooted in their walk with Jesus through every stage of life (kids-college).

The Next Generation Director will report to the Family Life Pastor.

 

Key ResponsibilitiesPastoral Care:

  • Provide pastoral support to children, parents, volunteers, and leaders, fostering spiritual growth within the Grace Church community.
  • Promote a culture of relational ministry within Next Gen ministries, ensuring that leaders are equipped to effectively disciple our young members.
  • Take leadership roles in various Next Gen ministries as needed.

Faith Development:

  • Utilize Grace's established discipleship path for children and youth, guiding them through various stages of spiritual growth in collaboration with adult ministries.
  • Create and maintain a cohesive ministry plan that offers age-appropriate programming, curriculum, camps, and events tailored to different life stages.
  • Connect Next Gen ministries with Sunday services and the broader Grace Church community.

Leadership Development:

  • Design and implement a vision for training emerging leaders within Next Gen ministries through programs like internships, residencies, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Support and empower the Next Gen staff team to foster a culture of collaborative leadership and continuous growth in their roles.
  • Establish and nurture core lay-leadership teams across different age groups to align with the church's vision and goals.

Family & Parent Engagement:

  • Provide resources and training for parents to support their children's spiritual development at each stage of life.
  • Celebrate and recognize significant faith milestones in children's lives, creating impactful markers for families and the church community.


Qualifications

  • Possess a pastoral heart and the ability to mentor individuals at all life stages.
  • Demonstrate a visionary mindset for discipleship and family engagement.
  • Have experience in children, youth, or family ministry, with a strong understanding of team building and faith development.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing staff and volunteer teams.
  • Must be licensed or willing to become licensed as a Foursquare minister.
  • Excellent communication skills to connect with diverse audiences.
  • Solid theological and biblical knowledge to teach and lead effectively in various settings.


Compensation Overview

  • Starting compensation will vary based on experience, with a range of $55,000-75,000.
  • Raises are assessed annually
