YOUTH AND CHILDREN’S PASTOR
Position Overview:
Our mission at Berkley Chapel is to help people find and follow Jesus! ALL people! This includes the children and youth of our community. If you’re ready to lead with passion and create spaces where children and youth can begin and grow in their relationship
with God, you might be the right fit of our Youth and Children’s Pastor.
This role at Berkley Chapel will focus on leading the Wednesday night student ministry of middle and high school students, as well as our Sunday ministry to elementary students. You’ll work alongside an incredible team of staff members and volunteers to bring
our vision to life, connect with families, and ensure that Berkley Kids is a fun, safe, and meaningful place for every child and student. If you’re passionate about seeing a generation of young lives changed by the power of Jesus, we would love to talk to

General Responsibilities:
- Lead the Berkley Youth team in the implementation of our Wednesday night student ministry to middle and high school students. This includes supervising our volunteer leadership team, leading the Wednesday night program, and the discipleship of middle and
high school students.
- Lead the Berkley Kids ministry and staff in the implementation of ministry during our Sunday morning services. This includes the development of curriculum, training of leaders, and the supervision of staff members in the nursery, preschool and elementary
children’s ministries.
Duties and Expectations:
- Lead the children and youth ministries in alignment with the vision and mission of Berkley Chapel.
- Recruit and train staff, adult and student volunteers to serve in children’s and youth ministry.
- Provide clear and consistent communication with staff, volunteers and parents regarding the children’s and youth ministries.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A follower of Jesus who professes Him as their Lord and Savior.
- A person who is called to minister to children and youth, passionate about helping people find and follow Jesus.
- A person of high integrity and consistent Christian lifestyle and witness.
- A team player who is relationally intelligent.
- A lover of people who treats others with respect and care.
- A member of our church community who actively participates in the life of Berkley Chapel as a member, embodying the culture and vision of our church family.
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, religious studies or a related field preferred, (extensive ministry experience may be considered as a substitute for required degree).
