Position Summary:

The Trinity Student Ministry (TSM) Director is responsible for overseeing the Student Ministries (Junior High and High School) with a focus on the High School Ministry of Trinity Bible Church (TBC), to help in the spiritual development of the students, and to recruit, and develop a team of adult volunteers by implementing the vision of TBC to “develop fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.”

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate and run the midweek and Sunday Student Ministries programs including games, worship, and lesson.
  • Create and build small groups for Student Ministries and train up volunteer adults to lead these groups.
  • Team building through the recruiting, developing, maintaining, and growing of volunteer adult leaders.
  • Raise up student leaders among the junior high and high school ministries and train them in various ministries within the Student Ministries program.
  • Plan small group curriculum to be implemented in the appropriate small group environment.
  • Invest in students by attending their extracurricular events, including sporting events.
  • Recruit, develop, onboard, maintain, and grow a team of adult volunteers to assist in reaching students for Christ, in accordance with the Child Protection Policy.
  • Work with Student Ministries Leaders to develop on-campus (school) ministries that reach students who do not know Jesus.
  • Speak at all applicable venues and train up a “talk team” to rotate into the speaking schedule.
  • Develop a thriving outreach ministry that would include planning monthly events and creating an active campus ministry to maintain a presence at all targeted schools.
  • Be a part of the planning and development of and attend the big student events of the year such as, Summer/Winter camps, retreats, and mission trips.
  • Brainstorm and create media for Student Ministries, as needed, including videos, graphics, etc.
  • Manage, run, and post on all TSM social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TSM Podcast and YouTube)
  • Communicate the vision, goals, and activities of Student Ministries to the parents of student participants through informational meetings, mailings, and electronic communications.
  • Follow up on correspondence to students, parents, and vendors via email and phone calls including carrying out the guest strategy.
  • Update the church database with student information.
  • Work within the given budget and maintain proper documentation as needed.
  • Oversight and development of Student Ministry Leaders and Interns.
  • Various other administrative tasks as related to Student Ministries operations.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Education and/or Experience (must have one or more of the following):

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.)
  • 4 years related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Project management experience.

  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of volunteers, church members or staff members of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have knowledge of internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software specifically Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel), Apple/Mac Hardware and ProPresenter.
  • Regular involvement in Trinity Bible Church activities and events and a member of TBC.
  • Signed acknowledgement of Trinity Bible Church’s Statement of Doctrine and Staff Lifestyle Agreement.
  • Signed acknowledgement of policies and procedures as stated in Trinity Bible Church’s staff handbook.
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and use a keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 

Licenses, Registrations, and Certificates: 

  • Ministerial License, recommended
  • Current Driver’s License
