Director of Worship and Media
Full Time
Purpose: The Director of Worship and Media is a full time position tasked with planning, preparing for and leading weekly worship services, including musicians, audio, visual, and decorations, that leads the congregation toward worshipping the triune God.
This position also includes the use of media and social media to help in the teaching and training of the church, the delivery of the vision and the communication of what is required for carrying out the mission.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the congregation in worship
- Develop the weekly order of service in coordination with the pastor
- Lead weekly worship rehearsal with the worship team that prepares for Sunday worship and introduces and practices songs for future services.
- Ensure that the stage is set, lighting, sound system, video and presentation software are all working properlyfor worship services.
- Oversee the design/decoration of the stage for worship services
- Recruit, develop and train musicians, singers and AV team members
- Create and track the annual worship budget, assuring over spending does not occur
- Engage with the body through church events, bible studies and other events
- Edit and upload sermons to YouTube and podcast platforms
- Use media and social media to help to deliver the teaching and training of the church, deliver the vision, and communicate the mission
- Work under the supervision of the pastor
Minimun Qualifications
- A Christian who has a clear testimony of a life entrusted to Christ
- Track record of integrity
- Love for others and ability to care for them
- Skilled in music
- Understanding of worship, both theologically and practically
- Experience with use of technology for worship
- Understanding the use of social media and other media
- Able to lead others
- Team player with good relational skills and positive attitude
