Position Title: Next-Gen Worship Director
Department: Worship Department
Reports To: Worship Pastor

Purpose:
The Next-Gen Worship Director will lead and support the worship and production experiences within Definition Kids, Definition Youth, and Definition College ministries. This role is essential to fostering a worship culture that resonates with next-gen participants,
ensuring an impactful experience that aligns with Definition Church’s mission to help people be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership Development and Recruitment:
- Utilize Definition Church’s Development program to identify, train, and empower future worship leaders and production team members within the next-gen ministries.
- Collaborate with campus and ministry staff to develop emerging leaders in Definition Kids, Definition Youth, and Definition College worship and production teams.
- Champion a positive and spiritually nurturing culture that encourages growth and faith within next-gen team members, focusing on character and skill development.
Service Planning and Execution:
- Partner with Youth and College ministry leaders to plan worship elements, ensuring consistency and quality in worship practices across next-gen gatherings.
- Coordinate the planning and execution of service rehearsals, huddles, and worship components for next-gen experiences, focusing on cultivating an engaging worship environment.
- Maintain alignment in worship styles and cultural values to ensure that Definition Church’s worship identity is upheld across all next-gen worship settings.
Preparation and Maintenance:
- Ensure all technical and worship equipment in next-gen environments is prepared, maintained, and fully functional for every service.
- Collaborate with the Worship Pastor to assess equipment needs and recommend improvements or upgrades as required to support next-gen worship experiences.
Additional Worship and Production Responsibilities:
- Support additional worship and production tasks as needed, contributing to the overall goals of the Worship and Creative Department under the guidance of the Worship Pastor.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and other developmental initiatives to continually enhance skills and support the broader goals of Definition Church’s worship culture.
- Assist the Worship Pastor with broader Central Worship Ministry responsibilities, including resourcing, development, and involvement in main worship experiences as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in worship leadership, particularly within youth or college ministry contexts.
- Strong musical ability and experience in leading worship, with proficiency in vocal and/or instrumental performance.
- Strong skills in worship planning, music direction, and team coordination.
- Technical proficiency with worship equipment, audio, and visual tools to support high-quality worship experiences.
- Ability to foster a positive team culture that encourages spiritual growth and leadership among next-gen team members.

Additional Information:
- Expected to actively participate in the life of the church, such as groups, serving and attending Definition.
- This role may involve working non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
