Liberty Heights Church is a multisite church located on the northside of Cincinnati, OH. The church has two campuses with a Spanish campus also meeting at their original location. There is a deep desire to host a language based campus at each of their physical campus locations. The church is led by Lead Pastor Brad Cunningham, who has been the lead pastor since 2010. The Liberty Township campus currently offers two modern worship styled services at 9:30a and 11:00a on Sunday mornings. The church is currently seeing around 1,200 in total Sunday morning attendance, with around 900 being at the Liberty Township campus. 

Family ministry is a high emphasis at Liberty Heights Church, and that value is represented well with how it is staffed. The church believes in investing in the next generation, and is excited to continue to invest in the student ministry. Between 7th - 12th grades, they have over 130 students a part of the ministry with an average Sunday night attendance of over 65 at the Liberty Township campus. 

The church is seeking the right candidate to take over as the new Director of Students at the Liberty Township Campus to oversee grades 7th - 10th in their student ministry. The right candidate for this role will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity that align with the church’s overall mission and vision. Below are the qualifications and responsibilities Froot Group and the church have identified for this role:

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Student Ministry on Sunday nights for grades 7th-10th, fostering an environment that encourages spiritual growth and community engagement. 
  • Mentor and equip volunteer leaders to facilitate a strong support system for students. 
  • Maintain open communication with parents, promoting their involvement in their students' spiritual journeys. 
  • Plan, organize, and oversee weekly programs, small groups, events, and retreats in line with LHC’s mission and values. 
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director of Family Ministries to ensure cohesive programming across different student age groups. 
  • Oversee "The Heights," a Junior High after-school program at the Lebanon campus. 
  • Identify and nurture opportunities for students to engage with the community through service and outreach. 
  • Encourage students to develop their faith through a deeper understanding of Scripture and its applications in daily life. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A deep, personal relationship with and commitment to Christ.
  • Demonstrable record of leading growth and engagement within student ministry. 
  • Passion for student ministry and a commitment to supporting young people's faith development. 
  • Strong communication skills, along with proficiency in organizational and administrative tasks. 
  • Must affirm the Baptist Faith & Message (2000) and embrace the church's doctrinal position and philosophy of ministry. 
  • Education
    • A bachelor’s degree is required, and from a conservative evangelical university is preferred.
  • Experience
    • At least one to two years of experience in leading a student ministry is ideal, though not required.
