Job Title: Preschool Director
Reports To: Children’s Pastor/Director
Status: Part-Time
Primary Function:
The Preschool Director is responsible for leading a Preschool Ministry that establishes a strong foundation for children, in partnership with parents, to find and follow Jesus Christ. This role also aligns with the overall Children’s Ministry Programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead the Preschool Ministry Team, organizing and leading meetings.
- Provide care, coaching, and fellowship to the team members as needed.
- Oversee Regular Preschool Programming:
- Recruit and train volunteers for Sunday services and special programs.
- Manage the curriculum for Preschool Ministry.
- Ensure safety and security protocols are followed.
- Lead Special Events:
- Plan and lead special events such as:
- Bridge Kids Camp
- Christmas at the Bridge
- Other outreach and fellowship events
Required Skills and Experience:
- Ability to lead and manage a volunteer team.
- Strong administrative skills for program management.
- Excellent relational skills to connect with children, parents, leaders, and new families.
- A completed bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience in leading a preschool or children’s ministry.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Uphold confidentiality regarding church records, membership, and ministerial counseling.
- Be flexible and cooperative with staff members for various tasks beyond the regular responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the Elder Body, Leadership Team, and other staff to promote the ministry plan of The Bridge Church.
- Support the church’s operating budget and adhere to authorized expenditures.
- Follow the guidelines set forth by The Bridge Church’s Bylaws and Policies and Procedures Manual.
Personal Responsibilities:
- Maintain a vital and growing relationship with the Lord through Bible study, prayer, and spiritual growth.
- Seek personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
- Financially support the ministries of The Bridge Church through faith offerings and maintain wise stewardship over personal finances.
