Description

As the CP Students Groups and Discipleship Director, you are an integral member of the Students team. The CP Students Groups and Discipleship Director is responsible for providing leadership and support to all CP Students groups and discipleship pathways, fulfilling the mission of connecting students to Jesus and each other.

Who We Are

Our Connection Pointe Staff Team is a unified group of imperfect people who tirelessly work to connect people to a saving relationship with Jesus and life-changing relationships with each other. As individuals, we have a personal relationship with Christ and are committed to the vision of Connection Pointe Christian Church.

How We Lead

  • We give ministry away: as staff, we are always looking for faithful volunteers who can step up into roles that allow us to expand and replicate ourselves. We look for leaders who can lead leaders.
  • We work hard and prioritize our families: except for Easter, Christmas, and other “all hands” pushes, we work 5 days a week and have an extended two-day sabbath from Friday through Saturday for weekend-required employees that allow us to leave work at work and be with our families.
  • We are always improving: we seek new ways of connecting people to Jesus and each other. We are always asking “How could we make this experience or environment better?”
  • We are customer first: we seek world-class customer experiences that meet people in their mess and surpass expectations.
  • We find a way: we cut through red tape, relentlessly seeking to serve the people in our care with grace, perseverance and courage. There is always a way, we just have to find it.
  • We assume the best and fight for unity

CP Students Ministry Overview

CP Students offers two core programming components: weekend services and small groups. During weekend services, students participate in worship, large group teaching, and grade- and gender-specific Engagement Groups that foster connections and focus on applying biblical truths discussed in the service. Additionally, students can join small groups outside of weekend programming, which are designed to support deeper engagement and discipleship.

About Connection Pointe Christian Church

At Connection Pointe, our mission is to connect people to Jesus and each other. Most would describe us as a casual, authentic and welcoming church.

Connection Pointe was founded in 1837. In 1986, Pastor Steve Reeves became the 35th Senior Pastor. Under his leadership the church experienced consistent growth, from a congregation of 250 to more than 4,000.

In November of 2017, John Dickerson was welcomed as the 36th Lead Pastor of Connection Pointe. Since then God has blessed Connection Pointe with continued growth of more than 4,000 attending onsite each weekend and 6,000-12,000 digital viewers each week.

Connection Pointe continues to be a unique, multi-generational church with an extraordinary vision for the future.
