Qualifications

Educational:

            Bachelor of Arts in Music Preferred OR

            Enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts Music program preferred OR

            Specific Training in area of Worship

Values, Skills, and Experience:

Above all else must profess to be a Born-Again Christian who loves Jesus and is unashamed of his or her faith.

            Understands the movement of the Holy Spirit.

            Strong background in music and worship.

            Skilled at developing a worship service.

            Able to lead a worship team for both traditional and contemporary styles.

Has a proficiency of use of various worship / media platforms such as planning center, loop community, live streaming, pro presenter, etc.   

            Effective communication skills and a good people person.

            Able to keep confidentiality.

Effective computer and multi-media skills.

Good office presence.

            Spiritual Giftedness:

                        Lover of Jesus, Filled with Holy Spirit, Loves to Worship and be in the Presence of the Lord, can Discern where Holy Spirit is leading, Administrative, Prophetic gifts.

Description of Job:

The Worship Leader is responsible for creating and maintaining a standard of excellence in worship at Bethlehem. Bethlehem seeks to achieve excellence in both our traditional and contemporary styles of worship. Following the Holy Spirit to help others into a worshipful experience with the Lord. The Worship Leader oversees the worship, special music, praise team, and sound and media techs and works with various platforms online. The Worship Leader will work with the pastor in keeping with the theme of the scripture and the message.  

            This position reports directly to the Senior Pastor. The Senior Pastor has oversight and evaluation responsibility over this position.

Key roles and responsibilities (Not an exhaustive list, other responsibilities may be deemed necessary).

1. The Worship Leader will develop a culture of worship excellence at Bethlehem Church and ensure all services are covered regarding worship, sound/media, and worship platforms.
2. The Worship Leader will work with the senior pastor and the staff to promote the mission, vision, and core values of the church and will work to mentor others in their giftedness as well as pray with and for all ministry team leaders and leadership.
3. The Worship Leader will oversee and develop, direct, and monitor the worship teams, sound and media techs.
4. Will develop proficiency in our teams with our various platforms such as planning center, loop community, live streaming platforms, pro presenter, etc.
5. Will assist the pastor in monitoring the worship and music program at Bethlehem.
6. Will participate in devotionals and worship for staff and office personnel and attend all staff meetings.
7. Will be available at worship services and events at Bethlehem and those we sponsor.
8. Will abide by the ministry covenant established by our staff and teams and be part of an accountability process.
9. Will also be part of the preaching team.
10. Will pursue continuing training and development. Allowances will be made for on-the-job training.
11. Be willing to work with other teams in ministry such as youth, life groups, etc.
