Denominations: United Brethren
Church Size: 101 to 150
Job Type: Part-Time
Employee Workplace: Flexible
Job Description:

Banner Church is currently seeking a passionate Follower of Jesus to lead our worship department. Do you have a heart for leading others in God-focused worship? Do you connect with God through music? Do you get excited about seeing teens and young adults discovering their musical gifting? Are you looking for an opportunity to be invested in and developed as a worship leader? Then this might be a great fit for you!

Banner Church is truly a multi-generational congregation. We have a strong core of young families with children worshiping alongside 80-year-olds who were born into this church. Our music reflects that. Our typical worship sets lean towards a more modern sound mixed with an appreciation of the hymns many of our congregants grew up with.

As a congregation, we get excited about developing the next generation of ministry leaders, so don't let a lack of leadership experience scare you away from applying. However, some level of experience being on worship teams and working with teams is a plus.

If interested, read through the Role Description below then send your resume and, if possible, some videos of you leading worship in a church setting or videos demonstrating your musical ability to byron@bannerchurch.org. We look forward to connecting with you!

About Banner Church

Banner Church is a loving, multi-generational congregation located in the southern suburbs of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Having just celebrated 100-years of ministry, Banner is currently experiencing a new season of growth marked by a desire to stay in step with God’s leading.

One of the primary goals of Banner Church is to be an equipping and sending church. Throughout its history, Banner has seen a number of individuals go into vocational ministry, both at home and abroad. Moving forward, we want to double down on that commitment by creating avenues for believers to find their God-given gifts, connecting them with opportunities to use those gifts, equipping them for effective ministry, then unleashing them for Kingdom impact. If this resonates with your heart, we would love to talk with you!
