Job Description:

Purpose: 

The Campus Pastor is responsible for overseeing the campus, leading and supporting the campus staff and congregation, and ensuring that the campus aligns with and champions the vision of Alive Church. 

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Campus Vision Alignment
  • Promote unity across all campuses by ensuring your campus is aligned with the overall vision and culture of Alive Church.
  • Connect new people to the church: create opportunities to welcome and engage guests and track the success of these efforts.
  • Follow up on new applications and address any questions in collaboration with the Executive Pastor.
  • Preach and teach on weekends and during key gatherings when the lead pastor chooses not to use video teaching (this will happen a few times a year).
  1. Team Leadership
  • Communicate with the leadership team: Regularly update the Executive Pastor about the campus’ activities, challenges, and successes.
  • Track and report on key metrics: You will be responsible for tracking progress and reporting quarterly on the campus’ performance.
  • Manage the budget for your campus and help lead the fundraising efforts.
  • Lead team meetings: Hold monthly meetings with your leadership team to evaluate and improve ministry efforts and to coach leaders.
  • Develop leaders: Help other leaders grow and mentor apprentices to multiply leadership at your campus.
  • Coordinate with central staff: Work alongside the central support team and Executive Pastor to ensure the campus grows and runs smoothly.
  1. Operational Coordination
  • Ensure smooth operations: Work with the central operations team to address any needs or challenges your campus faces.
  • Oversee improvements: Lead and coordinate long-term improvements to the campus to ensure its ongoing success.
  • Coordinate “Big Serve” days: Work with the central staff to organize and manage large outreach or service events.
  1. Congregational Care
  2. Foster a sense of belonging: Ensure that everyone feels welcome,
    relationships are strong, and people are growing spiritually and emotionally.
    • Meet with individuals: Have at least three personal growth meetings each week with people from your congregation and community (one to mentor, one to connect with someone new, and one to build community).
      1. Personal Growth and Development
      • Keep growing spiritually: Follow biblical guidelines (1 Timothy 3:2-7, Titus 1:6-9) for personal and professional growth.
      • Read and learn: Regularly read books and materials to strengthen your spiritual and leadership skills.
      • Seek mentorship: Find mentors to help you grow in your role.
      • Cultivate creativity: Set aside time to develop and stretch your creative abilities.

      • Executive meetings
      • Prayer meetings
      • Special events and retreats
      • Partnership classes and staff development days

Reporting Structure 

      • The Campus Pastor reports directly to the Executive Pastor for regular check-ins, ministry plans, budget reviews, and coaching.
      • You will be reviewed annually by the Executive Pastor and Lead Pastor.
      • You are expected to abide by the Staff Covenant.

Additional Information 

    • Location:  Fl. Mall location, Orlando
    • Hours: Full-time (9 am – 5 pm Monday through Thursday, 8 am – 3 pm Sunday).
    • Time off: 10 days of vacation per year, plus one additional day off for each year of service.
