Youth Director / Pastor

We are seeking a Youth Leader whose joy in Christ is contagious, and who can build Teens & families in love.   The right person will develop a team and shape teens with the Word of God and the Mission heart of Jesus!  Dedicated believers with varied education welcome;  prior experience in a thriving Youth Ministry is preferred.  Our growing multi-generational church of 200-250 is surging with young families.  Weekly Youth Group is rebuilding at 15-20 but large blocks of tweens are coming up yearly from Awana and  church families.  But it’s the heart & history God gave us for Teens that is striking.  We need an energetic leader to fan into flame lifelong followers of Jesus!  We’re also praying for the 3000+ kids in a 10-mile radius -- so much untapped opportunity to see CHRIST transform families.  Who is a fit?

• Current/recent serving with Youth is key. Teaching + enjoying teens + discipling
• Love relationships but willing to willing to build a team – we’ll help you recruit and resource
• Passion for the Word of God! Teachable spirit to bring that to Teens in various ways.
• Hunger to grow in Jesus – authentic love for Him that is genuine. Willing to plug into a LifeGrp
• Some hours fixed / some flexible (remote). 20 hr base role, may go up to full time for right person 
• Lead Pastor & Staff behind you, parents team with you, conferences & training to refesh & resource you!

CORE RESULTS –  practically, these competencies will key your success: 

• Work with Pastors & Leaders to chart impact, build a team, work together in a great spirit!
• Communicate genuinely and often with teens + families. Includes less formal times, as able
• Organize the Youth calendar & draw in others to do what you can’t / don’t want to (we’ll help)
• Use some cool tools to on-board new parent volunteers, text grps with Teens, etc.
• Partner with Staff/Teams in several Outreaches (Mega Sports Camp, etc)
• Head up annual getaways to Camp Barakel, and a Summer Serve Mission Trip (or similar)
• Get to know and love on new families. Bridge parents and kids to one another
• Enthusiasm & love.  Solve problems in positive, fruitful ways

This position reports to the Lead Pastor, is part of the Staff Team, and is supported by a Youth Team & families.  We look first to JESUS and ask Him to do something only HE gets glory for!

• Clear expectations and supportive parents with a chance to build something special

Salary Range:  $19 to 28 / hour  =  $24,000 to $55,000 per year      BASED ON EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & TRAINING
