Worship Director/Pastor

The Worship Director/Pastor is the primary shepherd of the worship ministry of Redeemer Bible Church. The Director/Pastor will provide leadership, direction, planning, and shepherding of all things related to Redeemer worship ministries. 

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Prayer for Worship Ministry
o Lead and encourage the prayer culture for the Redeemer Worship ministry.
o Ensure prayer is central to all things related to the Redeemer Worship ministry.

2. Shepherding of Worship Team
o All direction, planning, and leadership will flow through this role.
o Ensure solid communication with members of worship team.
o Ensure a culture of shepherding hearts, heads, and hands of the team.
o Audition and onboard new worship team members.
o Train, equip, and provide opportunities for other worship leaders to grow in their gifts. 
o A/V technology oversight, stewardship, purchase, and replacement as needed.

3. Sunday Gathering Lead
o Lead worship for majority of Sunday mornings and assign an alternative lead for Sundays you do not lead.
o Build the service plan and set lists for each Sunday.
o Schedule teams for each Sunday.
o Work with Production and Communications to ensure all tech needs are in place for each Sunday (click tracks, slides, lighting cues, equipment, etc.).

4. Consult on Worship Ministry for Redeemer Generational Ministries
o Collaborate and consult with directors of generational ministries (Kids, Students, Young Adults) to shape the worship culture and organize team schedules.
o Lead or designate leadership for times of worship during events such as First Tuesday, Summer Camp, and Worship Nights as required.

5. Consult and Support Other Churches Worship Ministries:
o Consult and assist our church plants in their worship needs (Ascend Bible Church, The Rock Bible Church).
o Create a culture of collaboration and encouragement amongst the worship ministries within our family of church plants, other local churches, and the broader church planting collective.

Other Shepherding Responsibilities:
1. If hired on as a director, your shepherding will be primarily focused on the members of the worship ministry.
2. If hired on as a pastor/elder, you will have elder shepherding responsibilities that extend over the whole congregation. 
*The director/elder path will be discerned and discussed during the hiring process.

Requirements:
1. Must be, or become, a member of Redeemer Bible Church.
2. Must demonstrate character in line with 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
3. Must be humble in spirit: selfless, quick to point out contributions of others, share credit, emphasize team over self, and define success collectively rather than individually.
4. Must be faithful in work and service: fully committed to the mission of Redeemer Bible Church, self-motivated, diligent, proactive, desiring to learn and grow. 
5. Must be wise in relationships: have the ability to work productively and collaboratively with others, have strong interpersonal skills, ask good questions, listen to what others are saying, and engage in conversations intently.

Additional Information:
1. The Worship Director/Pastor will report to the Lead Pastor.
2. The role is full time; standard work week is Sunday-Thursday plus special events and trips as needed.
