Life Groups Pastor

PURPOSE STATEMENT: To function as the Pastor of Marysville Grace Family Ministries, providing spiritual leadership, vision, and oversight to the Family Ministry programs, including children and student ministries. The Family Ministry Pastor is a leader of leaders whose primary role is to provide leadership, cast vision, as well as equip and support the leaders of the Family Ministry. This will include building the essential programs to ensure that the families of Marysville Grace are supported and equipped to live a Christ-centered life in an ever-changing culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Develop and implement a comprehensive, Christ-centered family ministry vision that aligns with Marysville Grace’s mission and 20-40-10 vision.
• Create strategic goals for the Children’s and Student ministries and ensure those goals are executed.
• Recruit, train, equip, and support the Children’s Ministry and Student Ministry, ensuring they have what is required to support their teams.
• Provide ongoing development and implementation of quarterly huddles within Family Ministries.
• Research current cultural trends in efforts to provide ongoing support and resources for families of all ages.
• Assess all programs and provide an oversight to all events to ensure they align with the Family Ministry Vision and the Cultures of Marysville Grace.
• Responsible for developing and managing the annual budget for Family Ministries, including assistance in overseeing Children’s, Middle School and Student Ministries.
• Research future ways to expand the Family Ministries beyond birth to 18.
• Assist in specific ministry areas for seasons determined by the Lead Pastor and elders' team. 
• Preaching and teaching as assigned. 
• Function as a church’s pastoral staff member performing baptisms, weddings, funerals, etc. 
• Perform other pastoral duties as assigned.

6. Communication - Communicate across all levels in a way that brings clarity, confidence, and alignment throughout the organization.  

7. Staff motivation - inspires and leads staff to succeed in their respective positions. Provide opportunities, show respect, care, and appreciation, and appropriately challenge each person with regularity.   

8. Lead through Crisis - Assess, communicate, and have the confidence to make decisions in crisis situations.   

9. Financial Planning and Oversite - Give leadership to the stewardship of financial resources in a way that is fiscally responsible, reflects vision, and instills confidence.
