Responsibilities

Leadership:

  • Provide strong leadership and direction for all creative initiatives at Graceway Church.
  • Champion the culture and brand of Graceway, ensuring a consistent and relevant look and feel across all platforms, both online and in person.
  • Lead and develop a team of creative volunteers to help carry out the church’s mission.
  • Facilitate ideation and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas that support Graceway’s vision and enhance community impact.
  • Continuously evaluate and update creative processes, content, and the Graceway brand to remain relevant to a diverse and multicultural audience.
  • Build strategic relationships with the creative arts community in Kansas City and collaborate with other church networks for inspiration and innovation.

Content Creation:

  • Develop, plan, and execute compelling and engaging content for Graceway’s creative needs.
  • Work closely with the Lead Pastor and leadership team to implement a creative vision that aligns with Graceway’s mission and values.
  • Oversee creative and production elements for weekend worship services and special events, ensuring excellence for both online and in-person experiences.
  • Produce engaging online service environments to reach and connect with local and global audiences.
  • Coordinate the design and aesthetics of Graceway’s physical environments, including signage, lobbies, auditoriums, stages, and children’s spaces, to ensure a cohesive and excellent presentation.
  • Effectively manage projects to meet timelines, quality standards, and organizational goals.

Weekend Worship and Production:

  • Oversee weekend worship and production for both online and in-person services, ensuring alignment with Graceway’s creative vision and mission.
  • Collaborate with the Worship and Production teams to execute seamless, impactful worship experiences.
  • Provide direction for stage design, lighting, audio, and video production to enhance the worship experience.
  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of both online and in-person services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Ensure that all creative and production elements serve to support the mission of helping people Know and Enjoy God, Find Friends, Discover Purpose, and Make a Difference.

Communications:

  • Oversee Graceway’s digital presence, marketing strategies, and internal and external communications.
  • Lead the development and design of Graceway’s website and app to optimize functionality and user engagement.
  • Create engaging online communities through social media platforms and impactful content.
  • Develop marketing strategies aimed at reaching unchurched and multicultural audiences in Kansas City and beyond.
  • Provide guidance and support to Graceway staff and volunteers in producing digital, written, and print communication materials that reflect Graceway’s mission and values.

 

What You Bring

Education & Experience:

  • Proven video-editing skills and proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Graphic design experience preferred.
  • Experience overseeing worship and production elements in a church setting preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated success in building and innovating within a cohesive brand, especially for social media platforms.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to execute short- and long-term creative strategies.
  • Expertise in creating engaging online and in-person worship and production experiences.
