Heritage Church is a thriving, faith-based community dedicated to fostering spiritual growth and creating meaningful connections. Our HC Kids program serves as a cornerstone of our ministry, reaching over 300 children each week and supported by a passionate team of 100+ volunteers. We’re seeking a dynamic, creative, and spiritually mature leader to guide our children’s ministry into its next chapter.

Position Summary:
The Children’s Director will lead the HC Kids program, fostering spiritual growth in children while building and inspiring a robust team of volunteers. This individual will oversee all aspects of the children’s ministry, including teaching, program development, volunteer recruitment, and the planning of large-scale community events.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the weekly HC Kids program, ensuring engaging and spiritually enriching experiences for children.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of 100+ volunteers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Plan and execute large community-impact events several times per year.
  • Develop volunteers in order to teach age-appropriate lessons that align with the church’s values and vision.
  • Collaborate with church leadership to align the children’s ministry with broader church initiatives.
  • Manage ministry resources, ensuring effective use of time, budget, and materials.

Qualifications:

  • Strong teaching experience, particularly with children, in a ministry or educational setting.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead large volunteer teams.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to plan impactful events and programs.
  • Team-oriented mindset, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated spiritual maturity and alignment with the church’s values.
  • Previous ministry experience is required.
